I recently purchased a '73 Thing, Type 181. In search for a charcoal canister for it, and quickly discovering that is probably not going to happen. Any body have any insight for a more available, compatible one on the market

I picked up one of the "replacement" style ones a few years back for my bus and never ended up using it. Its the cylindrical one that busdepot still sells saying you may have to get creative with the inlet plumbing:

https://www.busdepot.com/1h0201801c

I tried to test it, and when i puffed into the big inlet, i could feel air on the medium outlet. However, i cannot feel any movement in the small inlet, which looks like from the evap diagrams it should be drawing in fumes from the expansion can up front.

Does it just do it passively and theres not actually any suction on it?

I think there is one in the box that came with my type 181. I likely will not be using a canister. Lmk if you still need it otherwise I will list it in the classifieds
Thx Jason
