Put the 4 quarts into a container that fits your screw cap pump.
Thanks Rich. Agree with that but they were old and discolored, and when I use old ones they sometimes break from brittle plastic. The turn off is the 1 fl oz per pump, and the trans takes 3.7 quarts. 32 fl oz per quart x 3.7 quarts = 118 pumps plus whatever the efficiency is. 10 x 12 per minute with the thick oil is 15 +/- minutes of filling. Heating the oil in the microwave a little helps but it also stinks up the microwave and house for days. I got one of those orange transfer pumps at HF today, will try it in the morning and report back.

Reporting back. WOW - an $8 transfer pump that actually works! I put an old towel in a small plastic bucket, stuck a Joe Gibbs Driven GL4 80-90 gear oil in the center so it could not tip over, crawled under the bus with the back on jack stands and the front on a floor jack, zip tied the hose to something near the transmission so it would stay put, and started pumping. I was expecting something like 5 - 8 minutes or more a bottle because it pulled in like what seemed like way too much fluid each pump way too easy. Then - surprise, 45 seconds later, slurp, bottle empty. Swap bottles, 1 minute later slurp. Another minute slurp. Another 20 seconds over flow. Let it settle down while I made sure the bus was still level, and put some tools away. Put the plug in, less than 8 - 10 minutes total filling it and putting tools away. Anyone who needs to fill their transmission or change gear oil, you can get 4 quarts of the conventional mineral oil based "Driven 80-90 GL4" gear oil from Summit Racing at a reasonable price, the transfer pump from Harbor Freight / Amazon / Home Depot etc., and what an easy 10 minute solution. Glad Amazon screwed up on the expensive solution. I should send Bezos a card thanking him for failing to do his job. Laughing

The Driven oil is a lot clearer in color than the stalube that was in it.

Hoped this helped someone.

thank you Xevin and Tom.

Also, I used the black plastic hose end that came with the old nozzle. Cleaning up afterwards a while ago, it is quite restrictive and best not to use one unless it is made specifically not to be restrictive. It might even be the reason it is so hard to use the plastic pumps when looking at the size of the passage in it. If there is a next time, I will just use the orange hose and no end, or make a metal end out of some copper tubing that is hooked.

Reporting back. The Joe Gibbs Driven GL4 80w-90 transmission gear lube I got thru Summit Racing is noticeably quieter and shifts smoother, especially going into first gear. It is easier to engage.
