I'm so sorry for your loss.

Huntington's is a bunch of bullshit. Fuck it, is right..
My wife's best friend has it, as did her mother and now daughter. I've watched it progress twice and it can be said with certainty that you are a man in love for sticking it out until the end.

Much respect...

Im so sorry. That poor Family. My Wifes Father had it and her parents divorced early on so her and her sister never got to see how bad their dad got but my MIL said it was horrible and this was in the early 70s and less was known about it. Her sister got married and wanted to have kid. got tested and was all clear. At that point we knew my Wife then GF was going to eventually show symptoms. It is awful. People who dont know about it should google the hell that is involved with it. Wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. And thank you for the kind words. I know my Wife would do the same for me in the long haul and there was never a question that i would be there for as long as i was physically cable. 51 years old is too fucking young to pass away.

This was my Wife in better times mid to late 2000s at a show in Bound Brook. Not my Thing. she went with me to several shows. the payback was i had to go to flea markets. good trade off. i would find automobilia and she would find tchotkes.

My Dad turns 91 next month.
He's confined to a hospital bed in his living room, using a Hoyer lift to hover over a bedpan & with a catheter. My stepmom actually read the fine print when she said "I do" back in Aug of '81. I fully respect her now.
Fortunately his mind is sharp but his body is giving out.
I spent the day up there last Father's Day.

Dammit - I want to remember him stretching his 6' 3" frame way out from first base to snag the softball & get that runner out at the many church team games .
Or... driving me to play racquetball in his 1976 Chevy Beauville van .
Or ...teaching me gun safety and poker for matchsticks at the hunting lease.
Or ... how to start the grill, make great burgers, & scrape the grill.
Or ... carrying me around the house when I had a short leg cast from surgery at six so I could find easily hidden Easter eggs.
Or ...
Cherish the memories y'all made 2GTHR.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences to you.

Those that say they don't cry aren't real men.
Grieving is healthy.

All my best ... stay safe

Im sorry. I somewhat know the feeling. She was no longer able to feed, bathe, use her hands or legs and barely could speak at the end. The remote hoyer lift was a Godsend for the toileting and to get her up into bed. And yes same thing, her mind was sharp as a tack. She could remember where something was purchased or a persons name right til the end. She was a prisoner in her own body.

As you said cherish the memories. Hang in there

So sorry for your loss. These are not my words but helped me when I lost my Dad...
