Cool
Peak area looks really clearly taller in this picture

Burnt orange/copper paint on the rims and bumper rib, right?

I know this is not a prototype, but it looks super early with the similar relief lettering logos as some of the prototypes, and some odd vents.

Translation, p15:

VW 29
A new type - four possibilities

The Volkswagen factory has expanded its production, which was previously focused only on passenger cars of all kinds, to include the manufacture of a delivery van. The factory is thus meeting an increasingly urgent demand from the economy for a commercial vehicle.

The Volkswagen's characteristics, combined with the technical requirements for transporting loads, have resulted in a delivery van as has previously been the case on the German market, with neither the engine, tank, battery, spare wheel, loading compartment nor the driver's compartment being impaired or disrupted. All of this is required but not found.

The new VW delivery van is designed with the latest developments in modern commercial vehicle construction in mind, with the main dimensions of the loading area being: length 2 m, width 1.5 m, height 1.35 m, which ensure the most versatile possible use for transport tasks. The vehicle is designed as a self-supporting all-steel structure with a very low, unbroken loading area. The additional luggage compartment is 0.7X1.5X0.55 m.

I'm curious what the Mobile Shop version was?
Maybe they just means SO (Special Order) vehicles?

The black&white floor tiles are pretty !

I wonder, since this seems to have been photographed in the Wolfsburg works (typical concrete pillars for use with crane tracks and rafter windows are visible), and with the tree props, if the low wall behind the buses was just constructed with wood or drywall, as a backdrop for the bus presentation. It appears to be makeshift and not permanent.
the natural light coming in from the rafters/factory roof glass provides fantastic reflections on the transporter roofs. Remember this was a time when they were still working on producing the roof as one huge panel from a single sheet of metal. I'd say they got it done pretty well !!! Shocked

Been playing around with AI and using it to colorize old black and white photos, I’m sure these are way off I just thought it was interesting that it assumed the Delicatessen Prototype was Blue. Would be nice if AI gets to the point where it can colorize these old images better someday but for now it’s kind of neat.

Super cool colours, albeit maybe inaccurate
Sharpens the images so you can see more detail
The Delikatessen has a pinstripe!
