Well my beetle is getting a motor and trans rebuild, so I am lining up projects that I can do when it gets back. I printed some LED holders for my speedo…

If you’d print some more LED holders and offer them for sale I’d buy one. |

Installed one size over door pin. Drove out and installed new pin with air hammer. Used WW pin and reamer. Easier than I thought but happy it’s done.

Was this done due to a loose hinge? My driver’s side hinge is a bit wonky. Wondering if this helped. _________________ 1966 Volkswagen 1300 Sedan, 1641 cm³, 12 volt conversion, L456 Ruby Red, Platinum leatherette. |

Stockholm- yes exactly. Hold the half of the hinge that attaches to the A pillar. If there is play it needs replaced. I tried a straight up same pin and there was still play, so I went to one oversize and it’s now nice and tight. Bought the pin and reamer at Wolfsburg West. Good luck _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

Thanks Far Rider! I need to look into this, for sure. I’m tired of having the door fly open on bumpy right turns.
I don’t have an air hammer, but might be able to borrow one. I’m just weary about messing up the paint. _________________ 1966 Volkswagen 1300 Sedan, 1641 cm³, 12 volt conversion, L456 Ruby Red, Platinum leatherette. |

Installed engine decklid seal. Thanks to Chris Vallone, again, it went pretty easy. I had been trying to snake it thru until I saw Chris tip on installing it just by tucking it in as you go around. I let the rubber sit in the sun for a couple of hours and it went in like butter. _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

Stripped the spare rim and painted to match the other four. I had to use an air hammer to break the bead on the petrified bias ply. |

I installed my first windshield. Didn't break! I have the headliner started, I should finish this week!
The back glass rubber does not fit the windshield. Ask me how I know! |
