In 2018 or 19 I was at the Red Barn and Kelley Park swap meets and picked up a set of bumper brackets for my 65 KG. I only got to start fitting the rear set over the past few days - as we work on the rear section of the car.

My body guy could not get the bracket to fit the new rear bumpers we had. He suspected we had the wrong brackets.

Here're a couple of pics:

So I searched here and found a couple of reference pics from the classifieds:

Fronts:

And rear:

The ones we have don't look like the fronts and are not the same as the rears either. BUT, could they possibly be rear ones that someone tried to modify to fit the front or on something else? Or do I have a bracket from some other VW model?

If someone has a rear bumper bracket handy and could take some measurements, perhaps we could modify (or correct) the brackets we have to be the correct shape and size. Importing a set from the US to India will delay us getting the rear panels all aligned by several weeks.

Thanks,
Byas

PS: I also discovered we were missing the front bracket covers - I thought I had bought them too at the same time. But I may be mistaken, or maybe I misplaced them. I'll check the classifieds, but if anyone has a pair for sale, pls let me know.

Thanks! I was able to get some measurements from FB group and was able to correct the shape on the bracket. Looks like someone had attempted to fit the rear bracket on the front at some point and distorted it.
