I am cleaning up and restoring a short Bosch coil 12V and the old sticker was just too faded and gone and could not be saved. Any sources out there that sell replacement yellow stickers?
I see that there are 6v ones around but no luck finding 12 stickers. _________________ 1967 Type1 Zenith Blue |

I looked around at some of the usual suspects and could not find a yellow 12V coil sticker like you describe. How close is your 12V sticker to the 6V sticker? Is the only thing different the "12V"? If so I could scan one of the yellow 6V stickers I have and then replace the "6V" with "12V" and send you the image. You could then get some adhesive inkjet printer paper and print out the image and cut it out. If you went this route I'd probably spray the sticker with some clear matte sealer to make it more robust.
Let me know if you want the scan.

I do not recall seeing on the sticker a big 12v like the 6v one. It may have been much smaller print. All I know is that it was the same size oval and yellow with the Bosch font and logo in red.
I am on the lookout for a reference picture somewhere. Wish I could have saved mine but it was too far gone from the years of grease and oil on it, and wiping it off pretty much obliterated it.
For reference I did note the numbers stamped on the end
Bosch number: 0221 114 006 007
VW number: 311 905 115
I understand these short black Bosch coils are hard to locate and I got this one off a 67 engine I recently purchased and am installing on my car. The engine has been in storage since the 70s and last week it fired right up without a problem with a test set up after some fresh oil and a valve adjustment and using this coil. _________________ 1967 Type1 Zenith Blue |

Hello,
I know this thread has been out here for awhile but. I wanted to mention that I recently found a source that has old stock of both 6V and 12V Bosch coil stickers. I'm meeting up with him tomorrow to purchase everything he has.
I'll be offering them for sale soon. Subject to quantities on hand.
http://1967beetle.com for more info. You can email as well if interested. I needed one of these stickers long ago and know how hard they are to find. _________________ Eric Shoemaker, Owner

I suspect that Bosch might be protecting their trademark - Wolfsburg West's sheet of decals used to have a yellow and blue 12V Bosch sticker on it... now they don't. This is what the sheet I got from them many years ago looked like...
and what that part looks like now:

Sorry. I was not at all trying to be ad like at all. I just wanted to point out that I ran across these. It took me forever to find one for my '67 long ago. _________________ Eric Shoemaker, Owner
