Dome Light Switch Removal

I'm trying to remove the driver side dome light switch from our 74 SB. It's loose, but I can't pull it through the hole towards the interior of the car. I've searched on the subject, and folks have pics of the switch already removed, or in the thread, I read "it's a pain to get out". It appears to be the original switch with four poles that I understand are NLA, so I don't want to break it while trying to remove it.

Yeah, you gotta tilt it down since the wires connect on top. It takes some doing and if one or more of the wires come off they generally stay right there for easy retrieval with a little hook or something.

I finally got it out. Between pulling from the door jamb side and pushing from the trunk side, it popped out with no damage. I was feeling a bit like Dr. Doolittle's Push Me Pull You.
