Questions on tins.

Can someone help me determine where this tin goes?

On both the top tins I have these cotter pins going thru right about the intake manifold. Is this normal. Only reason I could determine is to have the tin offset the head a little bit.

The tin with the ribs is the support for the front end of the heater tube with the valve on the top, don't know what side, it sticks out horizontally from the joint between the lower tin and the front bellhousing tin.
The cotter pins are the anchors for the throttle return springs.

This would have originally been tacked to the riser pipe for the flapper valve, but a band clamp will secure it to the pipe very well.

Thanks, looks like 1&2 cylinder side and can now see how it might be attached to riser. I don't seem to have that other support bracket attached to heat exchange on that side, but other side maybe. At least I know the general location now.

Good to know about cotter pins, I can safely remove now as I will not need at the moment.
