Wayne is a good communicator and ships quickly. I purchased 2 poly capacitors, hoping I will never experience " dead on road" due to a failed condenser again! Thanks Wayne! _________________ "A life of peace and happiness depends on your own gratefulness" |

I bought a Sapphire radio with with a bluetooth upgrade from Wayne for our 66 Type 2 Bus. The radio sounds great with the bluetooth.

Had a 63 single cab that needed a 12 V starter with a 6 V flywheel. Wayne fixed me up and was very good with communication and follow up. I definitely recommend. |

I recently got my Radios fixed by Wayne, i visited him at his place in Gilroy and he was kind to show me around his workshop and share his background in the space of VW Radios, he has a great collection of radios and has been working in the space for over 20 years, knows the issues very very well and has the patience to help you understand the proposed solutions well before quoting or starting his work. Wayne packed by Radios back really well and as promised they got delivered right in time.
I appreciate the help and admire folks like Wayne who are passionate about the work, and are here on the forum to help us. _________________ Best Regards,

Sent Wayne my Sapphire II, which I have in my ‘62 double cab, for maintenance and to add the external Bluetooth. Wayne did a superb job not only in fixing my volume and tuner controls, but also in giving my radio an overall tune-up. The Bluetooth addition was something I had refrained from doing because of the costs, but I was giddy as f*%$ when I connected and could easily control music through my phone.
Wayne recommended a not-included speaker option through Retro Manufacturing, and that bubba is so much better than the simple speaker from WW (dual tweeters).
All of these - the radio, external bluetooth, and speaker - fit perfectly under the dash in the original spots, with the Bluetooth mounted to the bottom of the radio. Minimal space lost in parcel tray given its low profile. If I can remember to take pictures, I’ll add those down the road.
Wayne communicated exceptional well throughout the process and took questions over the phone, too. The man knows his stuff and was basically speaking Swahili to me in technical terms, a true man of his craft. Everything arrived well packaged and swiftly once the work was done.
It’s been two months, and everything is still working like day one. Thanks again, Wayne! _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

I want to jump on the bandwagon here. Wayne literally saved my bacon and my sanity with his hybrid 6/12v starter. I put a new 1600cc long block on my 1966 VW Beetle original 6V engine. After enlarging the bell housing for the new 200mm flywheel, my old 6v starter would not mesh with it because it was set up for the wrong number of teeth (109 instead of the 130 I now had).
Wayne's creation is made perfectly suited for my engine setup.
We will be buying a spare, just in case!
Thank you Wayne. The Blueberry rides again. |

Just wanted to jump on the bandwagon and give Mr wayne a big thumbs up for his product. Order the led turn signal. Worked out great. He even made a little harness to make turn signal and running light work. Great customer service and goes out of his way to help. Hand down a great guy to do business with and I will be back to buy from him again. Very trustworthy … . Talked with mr Wayne several times on the phone and thru text. Always very helpful. And always responded.
Hand down great products too. |

The Sapphire IV I sent to Wayne for a 12 volt conversion just arrived back today. Quick service and safe packing. Glad to have a working cleaned up radio back in my bug. Wayne is a standup-member who delivers what he promises. Great communication. I would gladly contact him again for radio work. _________________ 1966 Volkswagen 1300 Sedan, 1641 cm³, 12 volt conversion, L456 Ruby Red, Platinum leatherette. |
