Thanks! Sounds like a plan.

Back on the beetle build after finishing a new engine for my bus.

Brakes are plumbed and bled so she's officially a legit roller now.

Today I got the body back on the pan complete with new pan seal. I couldn't resist throwing the front fenders on to get a preview. Still need to find all the pan bolts and get her secured properly!

Also started in on the headliner install. I just got the padding glued in. Hopefully I'll finish the install this week.

Here's some pics

I've not updated this thread in a while. Progress has been made but I guess Instagram gets all the posts!

Anyways here's the headliner I installed. Its an older TMI kit. Mohair-ish enough for this build but I'm pretty sure its actually suede.

I also stitched up my own upholstery which is a first. My wife is a lifelong seamstress so along with her help and the help from a really high level VW upholsterer I muddled my way through.

Colors are from a Turkis bus interior as the OG material has been impossible to find. I got the idea from another Turkis beetle owner who did the same thing with a TMI kit.

I had the OG upholstery to use as patterns and copied the stitching as best I could. I opted not to use piping on the seats. It just didn't seem like the right move to make.

Door panels are up next. I'm hoping our sewing machine can get through carpet. If so that'll be up soon as well.

Feels pretty good to say I did it myself, even if I see a bunch of flaws!
