Hi, I am the owner of a 2002 eurovan weekender with 16in wheels. My abs warning light has gone from intermittent to permanently on. In addition, since I bought the Eurovan last summer, the brake pad wear light has been on.

My mechanic believes this is do to a faulty right rear abs sensor, i.e. part 7D0-927-808. After doing some research on the internet, I’ve found that this part is no longer available. This part contains the right rear abs sensor as well as the brake pad sensor.

Can someone please provide me a suitable replacement for this part. That is, the name of the after-market manufacturer as well as its sku. From what I’ve read on this forum, given that the integrated abs sensor, 7D0-927-808, is no longer available, I believe I need two separate replacement sensors, one for the abs and one for the brake wear.

Thanks very much for you help.

Larry

Larry , just did this repair on my 2002. I believe the integrated sensor has separate plugs for the wear and ABS so you can plug in separate ones just fine.

FCP has both parts

I’ll try find my pictures

I'm looking for rear abs sensor with break pad indicator as well for 2000 Eurovan, any help would be greatly appreciated. FCP says out of stock.

You can defeat the wear sensor by closing the connection in the connector

I don’t need a light to tell me about brake pad wear. It gets checked at every annual Inspection on the lift, and if I see the brake fluid level change

I am also looking for rear ABS wheel speed sensors for 16" OEM wheels (02 EV weekender). I've tried about 15 places with no luck. OEM part #s 7d0927808 & 7d0927807. If I put sensors on for 15" wheels (cause they are available) would the ABS work correctly?

The Eurovan part is No Longer Available but my mechanic substituted a contemporary Golf/Jetta part with some work. An experienced VW mechanic should be able to do this.
