Took the beetle out for a little test run to pick up coffee on Sunday and what a difference the new shocks made. It previously was a bit skittish when going over a large bum or pot hole but it glided over everything in its path.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been making the most of the final stretch of dry weather before winter sets in by hitting up some local club meets. Caught some epic VWs and connected with some great people in the scene
I did have a bit of a problem with my fuel pump leaking but I manged to fix it by flattening off each of the surfaces with some sand paper, re tapping the threads and putting some Loctite on the bolts.

I picked up some parts on the weekend for the beetle. They came off a black 1958 Swedish car that was pretty much exactly the same as mine but with a few more accessories.
- Rear floor mat
- Wiring cover (out of a 61 I believe), On the look out for a 1958 Grey one. If anyone has one available please reach out.
- Original wheel L41 black outer lip. Trying to put together a set to get them on the car.

After:
I used the iron and some steam to pop out the center. Seems super battered but still functional. Might end up selling and continue searching for the right one.
I also received my delivery of the about time oil filler. Super stoked to have this and think it is a cool and functional.
