I'm looking for a good may to gain more wheel clearance on my 62 beetle and was recently informed that pre 62 beetles have larger inner wheel wells in the front. Is this true? I could obviously make my own front tubs, but if that piece of information is true, could I just use the patch panel (part number below) to have the same effect with a factory appearance? Would it interfere with my fuel tank? Any help appreciated, thanks. Part#111809201A
