Spent last weekend at the Ocoee and Hiawassee rivers in south East Tennessee. Great weekend even if I took a bit of a beat down on the Ocoee!

Spent 3 days outside of Sonoma with some other Vanagon folks and a few Vanagon deserters in their Generic vans.
Weather was great and i got to amortize the cost if my van over a few more nights.

Good thing some of us have minivan alternatives for those times when Mother Nature executes a surgical strike on our VWs. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic, tragically crushed by a falling hickory tree in my own driveway and now gone, leaving me Vanagonless and with no plans to replace it, alas. |

First over nighter in the Westy for us. Probably also her first camping trip in at least twenty years when with the original owner.
Definitely a work in progress. Thought we could limp the original canvas on some more trips but it's actively decaying lol. A little more ventilation never hurt anyone though. |

No mosquitoes in the balmy 40s next to the pacific in Northern California haha
Even at the worst of it, mosquitoes are pretty minimal, but probably going to be installing some new canvas before spring. |

Like a faithful horse, the Vanagon took my MIG welder to work and back.
I have gas with my welder, the work welder is running Flux Wire, so I wanted my setup for some minor welding .
No trips planned lately, so around town driving is all we’re doing. _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

Been running down through Baja since just after Christmas. First time we’ve done it. Been just great and I’m loving the FAS upgrade on this trip. My AC works, I’ve got good cruise control, I can climb hills at speed… super fun.
No knock on the beautiful WBX, just enjoying my upgrade.
