I am adding an extra vintage rear brake light and decided to wire it up with a relay.
I found BOSCH 0-332-204-001 used on samba and purchased it.
I decided to research the relay and found a company in Maryland that has ove a 100 of them in stock for $20 each. I will be stopping by next week to buy a few more!.

The addition of fog lights or an additional brake light sounds like a common addition and useful. My knowledge of the electrical system is weak, what is the function of the relay?
Thank you,

6v cars really require every terminal to be in perfect shape to have adequate lighting, I decided to pull power directly from the generator post to run the additional brake light. This way I am not pulling more power on the 60 year old wiring. _________________ ABYC marine master technician , EX European auto technician, new business- EASTCOASTWEST , custom work on campers, only systems, no mechanical |

| Bought about a dozen 6 volt relays through Amazon a couple years ago. Modified the wiring harness in my '57 so that every circuit runs through a relay. This way, original switches aren't carrying full load, the system works much more efficiently and is safer. Think they were pretty inexpensive, like around $5-6 apiece. |
