So, since I have the tank cleaned up and painted, wanted to install the sensor, and noticed this sticker on it.
I speak spanish, and portuguese is very similar, so I'm pretty sure it means :
"Attention ! Remove safety pin before installation "

Where would this safety pin be located ?

there is a float that slides up and down inside the tube, so look for a pin going from one side of the tube to the other that might be there to stop the float moving up and down. Also listen to hear the flat sliding in the tube.

Should have thought about that myself....

Pulled it out, and can now hear the float moving in the tube.
