Has anyone installed one of those Ron Lummus 1" motor and tranny raise kits? I have one but do not have directions for installation. Is it hard to put in? Do they work? thanks S1976

Why would you want to do that (on this forum, anyway)?
If you want more ground clearance, just raise the suspension. CV angles will increase either way.
I could see a motor/trans *drop* kit, to get the rest of the car up without sacrificing CV angle...

typically people raise transmissions of swingaxle cars to lower center of gravity and not have camber for drag race cars.

it is pretty strait forward
bolt on the cradle to the frame horns with the trans loose resting in it.
the mid mount will need to have the longer studs put in the trans. and that snugged on,
the nose cone mount needs to be put on, then the trans pulled up against that nose cone mount. then the cradle mount can be tighten up between the trans and mount. then the mid mount is in positon to be welded in place.
does that make sense?

and most important, once that is done, you need an alignment
