Hi, i just got a 914 engine from my grandparents, i need to get a distributor and alternator, can i just use like a 009 distributor and regular bug alternator? Im just getting started so i know nothing.

You could use a 009, but I wouldn't.

Is it still fuel injected or does it have carbs?

A bug alternator won't work either, you will need one made for the 914. I have seen people convert a GM alternator with a little work though.

It has been converted to carbs. What distributor would you suggest?

Bosch 050 if you can find one. Mallory Unilite if you want the best and are willing to spend a few dollars.
