| Since lead was used as a lubricant you will need to have the heads reworked, specifically the valve seats. |

Type 4s have hardened valve seats so you don't need to mess with leaded fuel.
The "lubricate" theory only works on really early engines that didn't have hardened valve seats. By '71 most manufacturers had moved away from that.

Miguel, you need to let the myth die.
Where I live, leaded fuel was banned in Dec 1990. I have not heard of one single car that suffered any of the "damage" the myth predicts. |

fill it up with unleaded. |

All 914 4-cylinder engines are Type 4s.
