1976 Porsche 912E histories

Have you ever owned a 912E or has your shop ever worked on a 912E. I am researching these cars, compiling histories on them. The first item needed is the VIN (vehicle identification number). Even if you know of a car that has been totaled or split for parts, let me know. I am logging the chain of ownership from Port of Entry (on the original window sticker if you have it) through to the current status. And send a photo too.

Also, does anyone have a contact at Porsche to help with this project?

First goal is to account for the status of every VIN number.
Ultimate goal is to have complete histories on all of them, even the dead ones.

You have quite a project on your hands. Good luck with it.

So far I have accounted for 365 of the 2099 VIN numbers. Here's my shopping list for the histories. Please share what you know:

V.I.N.
Color number (front drivers door jamb)
When did you buy the car, from whom, where, and mileage?
Original dealer & city, original owner & city (in Owners manual or other papers)
Options originally on the car
Owners along the way
And if you're lucky enough to have the original window sticker, it will show the Port of Entry, where the car entered the country.
