I have read alot about using KYB GR-2 shocks on a thing. Is there any advantage to using the KYB gas-a-just shocks?

Price and performance.

I put KYB gas shocks on my '67 912 Targa Porsche. It performed and handled very well with 'em.

For the price, you can't beat KYB.

YMMV
