Hey Fellas,
I was wondering if any has ever attemted to put 15x7 in the front and 15x8 in the back,of an oval that has an IRS pan. I want to go with the deep dish look, but dont know how deep I can actual go. Or does any one know what type of prombles I will encounter? or what beam I might need to make this set up work? I tryed to post this in the oval section, but had little luck .....Thanks for you time...Dave |

You might ask the guys on Germanlook.com
They are often more familiar with irs and bigger wheels.
The offset is not favorable which may require wider rear
fenders for sure. Chop the ol beam down too. |

| ive seen beetles tuck 7's with narrowed rear trailing arms but 8's would require some extra cutting and welding |

| Well, 7" Cookie cutters fit the back of an IRS bug nicely and the 6s fit the front inside the fenders. If you were to narrow the front beam by an inch on each side 7s should fit. As far as 8s in the back go, it depends on what back-spacing they have. My 7s have a backspacing of 4 5/8 if I remember correctly, but I don't know that there is enough room to go another inch in, which is the only way they would stay under the fenders... |
