I was wondering if it is possible to have the posts in a thread go from newest to oldest. It's not so bad when the thead is short but sometimes they have 50 posts or more. Having the newest posting on the top would save alot of scrolling. What do you think??? |

Mowser, It used to be set up differently, and you would have to scroll through pages and pages to get to the post you wnted to read a response to or something. The way Ev has it now is really cool, all the recently-responded-to threads go to the top. Trust me, its the best way.... |

I think what Mowser means is that within each thread, the posts should appear with the newest on top instead of at the bottom the way it is now. Would make it easier for those who are looking for the latest responses to a particular thread. For someone reading the thread for the first time, though, they would have to start at the bottom and work their way up. Seems like 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other... |

That was the way I read it too, 79SuperVert. There's not an easy way to do that but I'll check into it.
For now. you can always hit the "Reply/Bottom" link near the top of the thread to jump to the bottom/newest postings. |

Reply/Bottom and scroll up works for me! sure it's kind of a pain if you log on an a post blew up to 100 threads and you turned in the night before when it was 30! LOL! but seems that is mostly on the R&R anyway.
Is the glass half full or half empty? |

79SuperVert had it right. That's precisely what I was talking about. For me it's when I'm on the site already and a thread seems to be doing a quartermile race. Goes from 0-60 posts in 10 seconds...hehe. I go back to check on the newest ones and scroll forever. It's fine by me the way it is I was more or less seeing if anyone else agreed and if it was a possibility. |

Everett has done a fantastic job updating the site over the past year or so I have been on it, I think if he can figure out a way to make any aspect of it better he will when he gets the chance. I know exactly what you mean too. sometimes you have to scroll around to find out where you left off and it doesn't matter if you start at the top or bottom! But hey, it's alot better than it was a while back where you had to go chase down a thread with the tiny print an all... now that they are at the top things are alot smoother... I've only seen a few sites with a better method but they 'probly got the big buck budget! No offense Everett, I don't mean it like it sounds... I mean literally not feciciously... |
