With diaphragm plates, what's the story about putting one of these things back on? This guy gave me a clutch and pressure plate which was collarless, but I have one with a broke finger and a collar laying in the corner. What are the chances that collar (off a 180 transporter plate) will fit on the 200 bug plate.

I think you would have a hard time getting the spring retainer deal off the old collar and back on. I have taken a collar type PP and removed the collar thus turning it into a 71-later style but I don't think there is a way to go back as you destroy the retainer thingy when you take it off...
However, maybe someones else does know a trick???

so since putting one back on seems kinda out of the question, are there any issues trying to run a non-collared pressure plate in a transaxle without the guide tube? I know they're designed to run with the guide, but if i ran it without would I have any major problems?

I wouldn't suggest it, clutch parts need to be compatable or trouble will occur....
