Has anyone used these rivets on their top frame? It seems a good idea but just a bit pricey if it doesn't work. Looking forward for some input.

Seems a bit overkill, but hey if you can get them cheap enough try them.

1 Pc. Bottle of locking glue
1 Pc. Allen key
8 Pcs. Stainless steel special nuts
8 Pcs. Stainless steel bolts
8 Pcs. Polyamid washers PA 6
8 Pcs. Large stainless steel washers

Kubelman,

Hi there

I am Andy from Killer Products and i am glad to see that you have found our nuts - that's our thing nuts...

We may consider pricing them lower but you have to have in mind that these nuts are not made in china or taiwan as many other stuff for the vw is.

We designed them because they can't be found anywhere else and because we have seen a lot of loose frames.

I would be glad to hear how much you would be willing to pay?

Also i would like to hear where you have seen hardware for the thing frame elsewhere?
I have found volksbolts but they dont have the special nuts that makes our kit unique.

Thanks'
Andy

Not those top bolts. SS Body hardware from UK.

If we did a goup buy say ten sets what could sell them for? I would buy a set if we got a deal. I do recognize the great quality of your product.

ok folks

We have looked into how we could sell these kits cheaper and have decided to fire our packingman and make our family pack the kits instead.

No we really don't have a packingman - could be nice, but we don't.

The price is lowered to $50 due to your response and the weak dollar.

We cant' go lower as we have the nuts special manufactured.

What you are paying for are the nuts - the rest in the bag is mainly added for your convenience.

We can offer you a 10% discount on a ten kit group buy.

Let us know what you think.

Fitted my frame up with the Killer kit and it's... KILLER! Works a treat and i can't fault it - installation was easy and the instructions clear enough even for me with my piss-poor vocabulary. BUY THESE TODAY Laughing

(just decided to buy another kit for my 182... praise enough!)

Thanks a lot for your input! Glad you like them.

I have now put "Buy Now" buttons on our site so you don't have to bid on them on ebay.

Have a nice day

I can highly reccomend this kit. It is not only very easy to install, it fits perfectly and solves lots of soft top frame issues. I got a kit and am thrilled with the entire set up. K-mann

Good to hear, K-mann, Cubist, and Thingthomas! I actually ordered mine early this morning. How long did they take to get to you? Andy said he is shipping today.

<HIGHJACK>
Anyone remember the address for that British company that had a complete hex head (and I think stainless steel) bolt set for a Thing?
TIA,
Mark

Hey folks. I was finally able to complete the top frame redo. As far as the rivets, AWESOME! As far as the instructions, just O.K. The instructions state to "drill out the existing rivets." O.K. What size drill bit? How do you hold it when it starts turning? Anyways, once you use a 27/64" drill bit and hold the back with some flat faced vice grips, the job goes smoothly. My top now GLIDES like it is supposed to.
