Are the steering shafts the same (#of splines/diameter) on the barndoor steering wheels as the later bus wheels. In other words, what do I need to change to put a 3 spoke on my steering column? I know there won't be a turn signal canceller. I have a stock 67 setup currently.

If you get a late barndoor steering wheel with the key type center it will go right on your bus. Just don't buy one of the early barndoor wheels with the spines.

When does early stop and late start? Anyone know of a late one for sale, to restore or does the dedicated bus community frown on late busses/early wheels?

If the early horn push fits the early wheel and the late push the late wheel, which would make sence then the late wheel starts in jan53. I would guess a usable wheel would set you back atleast $100. Confused

I hope that becuase an early wheel is being used on a late van it wont stop a barndoor being driven, but i would imagine there are more wheels floating around complete buses, just dont make the baby jesus cry. Crying or Very sad
