A bunch of us always go out to eat on Sat night after a show and hang out,
Spanky's sounds good to me  , Lets make plans at the show for a cruize over. I think I can drive mine that far....Ya'll

Maybe in August or September sometime if you guys do want to. What I stated earlier about my trip was correct, I will not be arriving back in Knoxville till around 2PM on the 4th.... but if anyone wants to work with me on setting things up.. Im game for having the show then. I'll be online the whole time im out of town.
For now, I'd like to invite 'yall to Spanky's when yall come to town for the July Knoxville show. Chillhowee park closes its gates at 5PM (I believe) and if thats the case yall can come on down to Spanky's for some live Bluegrass music and something from the menu 
You can converse about VW's out in the parking lot fer fun if ye wunt too 
I'll work on some flyers before the July show to send out (or post here).

To me this sounds good, I can more than likley be there. Might first after the show. Have a cruise night make some fliers for this to hand out at the show Sat. better to do this early at the show sat. This way people know where it is. I would push the date far back as possiable to give people time to plan and you to advertise it. Takes alot of planning to get a show together , depends if you get trophies placks or what ever you got alot of stuff to decide on. |
Yeah what he said.. I would go to the show early if I was you and past out fliers for a cruise night on Saturday at your place.. This way you can fill up the parking lot.. YA''ll show up now..

I guess you have better luck than anyone else. Its been 4 days now since I have emailed him and do you think I have got a return email? Of course not. Its always good practice to email your vendors back. We are what makes these shows happen!!! With out vendors = no shows..

I don't normally get involved in this kind of stuff but I don't have an email from you.

I have just chated with Ermal via phone..He resolved the problem and cleared everything up.. He said he doesnt check his PM on Shop Talk so thats why he had not answered the email..
Ermal was very friendly and was not aware of the problem I had at a prior show. The guy I had delt with at the show was one of there show persons. Glad I was able to talk to him via phone.
Thanks for the help Ermal and will see you this weekend.

I have known Ermal for about 15 or more years. He is a stand up guy. I have been going to his shows even before it was a real show (get together in the parking lot behind Hardees ).

Thanks for replying to the mail.. it was sent by my wife without my knowledge. I did ask her to do it but forgot that I did. I was hoping you could list us on your website announcement since I figured a lot of folks would check there for info (and print).
Also, please do not be offended by me not contacting you about my show idea, I do not know all of you and figured it would be best to follow advise givin here.
I had my 71 super last year and became a member here. I posted this idea as a show idea without knowledge that your show was coming to Chillhowee park.
I understand that you dont know me from adam, so if you'd like to talk to me directly Saturday night I'll be around to show you the space I have to work with.. (its no Chillhowee but its a nice level field on the corner of John Sevier and Asheville Hwy.) I will also be at the show around 3PM I will be the only guy walking around with a Spanky's T-shirt on
We tried to pass out flyers at a few car shows and the Honda Hoot at Chillhowee but was told we could not. I assumed it was Chillhowees rules.. That was before I read what you posted, and my friend just had a Mopar show up there last saturday and he explained his group managed everything.

Ok guys, just wanting to give a confirmation Our special on Saturday evening will be Ribs and Corn on the cob. And the Bluegrass show with Tom Raley and The Francis Family (The may be forming a band called Shady Grove which Tom used to head up)
These guys are very good and very entertaining.
