Ijust move to Georgia from Ct, Ibought the buggy in Ct 4 years ago, it has Ct id #, can Iuse that number in Georgia. What companies insure buggies. I have heard of guys registering and insuring them as bugs but what happens in an accident, it is obviously not a bug. Where do I start? if I insure it, there are no numbers on it except the numbers Ct put on it 25 years ago, the car has never been registered in my name and the last time it was registered was Ct in 1983. Please help I would really like to drive this car sometime soon. |

I have no idea how to register it in your state. My VIN is from a '72 Beetle, but the title states VW then some abbreviation for assembled vehicle (I just can't think of it right now). The inspection guys saw it as a '72 Beetle and that was not a problem.
As far as insurance goes, I use www.foremost.com . They specialize in off-road, motorcycles and stuff like that. Check out the page. You can only get liability on vehicles newer than 20 years old from them. I pay $80 a year for my buggy. They were real easy to deal with and the whole process was fast and effecient. _________________ Chuck
