would a 66 D cab have the floor clamps like the ones pictured or would it have something different? it has the same ones that are on the back but i have not seen anything in the floor that would accept any type of clamp. thanks for any info you can give.

The bolt is a normal carriage bolt. I'll go through my pictures and see if I have something specific. If I remember right, the bolt has no logo. The plates on the floor are the same as my 64 beetle gas tank hold downs. |

Are those plate on backwards? I thought the lip was supposed to go on the outside, so the clamp was level.

I thinking 59 and 60 are on the iside, it said something like that on dropegates

Thom is correct, the plate in the picture below is upside down.
I went and took the following picture of the hardware and did notice I had the plates in their correct position.

M8 is the size. As per the square portion, well, it's the size that fits in the slot. Are you sure the metal with the slot in the floor isnt messed up some how? My hardware doesnt look anything special.

No, I think it was just because I had 3/8" bolts and M8 is closer to 5/16".
