on an editorial note... that fabric doesnt do much for hiding stains!

I dread to think where all those stains came from. Shocked

Im going to remove the cloth over the holiday break and give it a wash I think. There is some good colour left in the inside of the cloth so I should be able to get this matched.

ok SO-33 / SO-34 gurus, what colour curtains originally went with flipseat / mosaik plaid?

i'm pretty sure with that fabric you have it came with the same coral/red color as so-23's. below is a pic of dave k's old so-34, all original. you can see the o.g. fabric on the fold up chairs and a little of the curtains. i might have a better pic somewhere that shows the curtains.

Now if that isn't a caption contest, I dunno what is! Very Happy

Alright...curtains. I don't know what color my curtains were. I replaced mine with red curtains like I've seen other SWR/BG westies having.

Now, what about the front curtains? Were they made out of the same fabric as the rear curtains? I mean the snap-in ones up front that go over the windshields and front door windows. I have some that are white vinyl that I use and they fit awesome, but I'm assuming they were made later by someone?

Also, what about the front "divider" curtain that would go over the front seat backrest (attatch in the center to the fresh air vent). My bus didn't originally have one as it wasn't there, and no holes are there for it, but I pulled one out of a 61 flipseat and plan to pop it in my bus and sew up some matching red curtains for it. Its nice to be able to just pull it for a quick nap instead of having to futz with the snap in curtains. Also, the bus I pulled the long divider curtain rod out of had the snaps in the front too for the other curtains.

Enough rambling, I'll stop now. Thanks for the pictures Hazetguy!! I'll bring the bus to work this weekend and get drilling! Shocked

and Alex in the UK IS reproducing the early (pressed bumper) tent brackets, and they are slightly different than the later bumper style. they should be done soon.

Here's the 51-58 bracket next to the 59-65 bracket so you can see the differences.

They are real easy to make all you need is a vise a bench grinder and some steel. I used a old shelf braket and shaped it with a bencha hour to make.
If you can get a tracing your half way there.
I used a later 61 type for a traching then moded to fit my og bumper on my springframe. If you can me a tracing of a early one I'll make you one.
