This is a basic chart for the basic cams and the rockers that need to be used with them. _________________ 68 Bug totaled one day will live again

I'm no expert but I'm guessing the spike during cold running has everything to do with the roofing tar(20-50) in the crankcase. |

This is common-knowledge, and can easily be found wwhen searching for a cam. _________________ "A petrol engine can start readily, run smoothly and give every appearance of being in good order, without necessarily being in good tune." - Colin Campbell, "The Sportscar Engine" |

I use whatever rockers I want to use.but the charts do make it eazy for bubba to see whats what and that he ordered the rong cam...again...but it wasent his fault the sales man sent the rong one just like those dam dowel pins that the salsman effed up the main bearings with.....he also sent the rong bearings since they no longer fit..... yes many cams are listed for specific cams as guidelines so you sorta know whats what. ratio rockers dont just affect the lift they also change the @ valve duration/lift rate the engine sees.the cam shaft does not know what rocker arms it is operating at the other end of the pushrod stick thingy's. so if your clueless use the guides....and if your a exspurt....use the guides... if you know what your doing then you know what to do.and remember just because You think you know what you are doing... dosent mean that you know what you are doing.....and just because there is a group of guy that say on "thats" junk or oh that wont work or oh that's just fine....or oh only the oe shit is good....just confirms. morons congregate in groups.and pass along their clueless fodder.

that's good advice and much, much better than what we usually get around here. _________________ Dumber people are doing harder things everyday.

I do not follow or recommend those charts for every combo.
