There are a TON of pictures of people running 145R15 front tires but 99.9% of the people have a narrowed/adjustable beam, regardless of whether or not they have drop spindles.

What I'm looking for are pictures of a Bug (prefer a fatchick but i'll take what I can get) that has ONLY drop spindles, with the STOCK beam (NOT adjustable!) ... and then on top of that i prefer the car have 145R15 or similar tires.

Right now I have a disc brake kit w/drop spindles that should arrive UPS on tuesday. I've got a set of DBtires custom 145R15 front whitewall tires on order that'll take 2-3 weeks... i'm trying to get a feel of what the car height should look like.

I'm going 145R15 tires for 2 reasons, in case anyone cares. First, because that'll guarantee i dont rub. But secondly, if i do eventually do a 2-4" narrowed adjustable beam, the tires are narrow enough to allow for a more aggressive drop if i ever so desire..

Neil .. why does your car drop so substantially from the 1st pic to the 2nd pic? Something to do with the shocks you are running or something? Could you explain that?

I'm not expecting my car to be slammed with just drop spindles... but sadly from what I've seen, it almost seems like the drop you get from the spindles gets nearly all visually eliminated (as far as wheel-well clearance) from the lower 145 tires... eh?!

First picture is with CE 90/10 front shocks.

Second picture is with stock shocks.

Could also be the telephoto lens used to take the second picture at the race track...

This was taken when it had a stock beam, drop spindles, and 145 Klebers. Rear was also lowered 2".

Thanks for all the replies. It appears that I'll cut my current wheel gap roughly in half with these drop spindles / tires. It wont be as low as I want but it is all I can really afford right now. These pictures have been REALLY helpful though.

THIS is how my car sits right now. Stock ride height with 165s all around. Rear seems high which may be due to coil-overs a previous owner installed. I plan to adjust/fix/replace things as I can to get it to a nice lower height that is still very street-driveable.
