Well.
I was specifically talking about the car I posted when I was talking about the variations in the color. I understand minute differences from picture to picture.. but this one was way too far off to be Iceland Green.
I just looked at color charts and it is REALLY annoying how many different shades of green were available on these cars over the years. _________________ Read My Beetle Restoration Blog!

I have OG paint on my Iceland Green '54 (under the whit and beige later layers unfirtnuately). Looks very much like the two first ones. The last is some fluo weired ugly green
I had a paint sample made by a shop using the Dupont formula for L213, it looks really close to what remains on the car. Some kind of milkish military/olive green.

we actually call it olive as well cause what you just described summs it up.
i have to say we almost did not paint our car that colour,i was not big on it.
after some debate we decided to stick to the stock colour. after it was painted i love it.agave is very similar as well as pastal green i think _________________ Cruiser pedals for sale (see my ad's)

Who did your interior? I have a 54 with the red and was not able to match the color as well as it looks like you did. I was able to keep the door panels and redo the seats but the color is off so wondering where you got your material? |

like that :
This is green, not beige, but the colour of the cloth passed away a little...
But... keep the colour period correct for your car. If it's a reed green year, paint it reed green. If it's iceland green, then go for it! |

You mean which colour for which beetle?
Here : http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/info/paintcodestype1.php
Or you can order a birth certificate from VW.
If you're asking for repro of the green upholstery correct for an Iceland Green beetle? There are no repro AFAIK. Maybe West Coast Classics makes them, but I never asked, and never saw any. Ingrid Opperman has only beige and blue cloth on the website.
Does anyone know the original colour of the carpet for Iceland green? Any sample?

It is pretty rough cord, indeed. I've never seen the brown material in real life, but from the pics I saw it looks really similar.
Here are close up pics for you to see the pattern :

There are no stripes on the material. It's only one colour. The stripes you see are the grooves of the material. And it's not wool at all. A lot too harsh for this I think.
Edit : it's easier to see the shape of the cloth on this shot. Damn flash (and poor photo skills)...

This is a beige/brown color, not sure if it is the brown you are looking for.

In2VWs, it's not beige/brown. It's the green A471 just behind the sample you show. My seats are only discoloured by the sun But are definately green in real life. A lot more than on my pics. The real colour is closer to the ones with flash. Those without flash are made under a yellow light (bulb...) and are strangely very close to your beige sample
Could you please post a pic of your A471 sample?

OK, Here is the green. The first pic is with the flash and the others are without a flash.
