So I've caught 2 mice a night for the last 2 nights, I doubt all 4 had ben hiding out in there and I am pretty sure they are coming and going at their leisure.
So where are the typical places that mice get in and out of our westies? _________________

thru the front fresh air grill behind your upper grill, the plastic bug mesh is way open in the corners.
thru the Westy battery vent under the pass seat to the wheel well
thru a removed hear heater hose orifice
thru a missing plate around the propane hard lines into the cabinet
thru the sloppy hole and missing seal for the H2o tank drain
THIS ONE tends to get in thru the front door while we're camping at Watkins Glen.. sometimes he has to crawl in the open slider.. if it's been a late night

I'd love to see a pic of the larger rodent on a glue trap! _________________ Geology with a Syncro rocks!

Mice absolutely hate coarse steel wool. Those critters can do the limbo under a closed door.
Another thing they cant stand is those fabric cloths that you toss in the dryer.
Something else they hate is cats |

Look for threads on mouse proofing. Theres a bunch of ideas already posted. I use ultrasonic repellers myself. You cannot plug every place a mouse can get in through. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone 1914. Ex wifes car.

When I got my '73 Thing a couple years ago, it was obvious that decades worth of rodents had made home in it over it's very dry stored life.
I wore facemask, used gloves, and made sure I didn't otherwise meld with the meddlings of a mouse. _________________ '85 Vanagon Westfalia |

| If the air conditioning has been removed be sure all the holes where the hoses and wires passed from the engine compartment into the rear of the passenger compartment have been well sealed. |

Follow BMWloco's example and wear a mask and gloves when dealing with rodents. Also disinfect all areas that may have come into contact with mouse droppings. Those things can carry a variety of nasty germs, some of which can kill like Hanta Virus. _________________ 1984 Vanagon GL
