Ok I searched and found a lot of "can I use this on that", and "this bug latch will fit the bus" etc. The question for the masses is...Did VW ever have the 67 bus available with a locking decklid for the year, standard or optioned? I am curious if not in US then Europe, etc? Obviously there is a L coded engine lid latch, but was it used in 67?

My 67 was as OG as they come when I bought it from its 2nd owner (since 69) 15 years ago. It has a locking engine lid with "VW" key. It could have been dealer installed I suppose, but its been there since new.
