I don't subscribe to any classifieds currently but the forum notification is hit and miss because of yahoo. I subscribe to the whines for example so i only get notified if I have since visited that forum. but in the time that happenes I will get a notification that will bring me to a post that is days old right after getting one that is for the most current post?? so its nothing important that I am missing but I can see how it would be frustrating for those involved in classifieds or saved searches for the classifieds. _________________ April 3rd 62 standard mgr/pw

| Ev, I think this issue may be resolved. I went on the yahoo help page, contacted them and told them whats going on. I included a link to this thread. Right afterward I sent a message through one of my classifieds ads. I just received the email on yahoo. The total wait wasn't more than 20 minutes, which is normal for me. Hopefully the other yahoo users will experience the same thing. |

It probably would be a good idea to implement DKIM (and DomainKeys wouldn't hurt) on your outbound mail server. After all Yahoo is the pioneer of these technologies and doing so would definitely make emails from thesamba.com have a better "ham" score.
DKIMProxy and now amavisd-new will do outbound signing. _________________ 1986 Vanagon Westfalia EJ25

It is definitely not resolved but maybe some messages are making it through. It may depend on which email server gets used for Yahoo since they have a bank of email computers.
Yes, Yahoo sometimes puts emails from my site in the Yahoo spam folder. This is a separate issue and it's best to add thesamba.com to your white list. _________________ How to Post Photos

Thank you. I activated DomainKeys yesterday since it was not on... it didn't make a difference. _________________ How to Post Photos

Awesome, I just looked at the auto-reply I received and it indeed had the DomainKey signature. Well at least when you get this Yahoo thing sorted it will help keep these emails out of the Spam box. _________________ 1986 Vanagon Westfalia EJ25

I just received this:
Hello Will,
Thank you for contacting Yahoo! Mail Customer Care.
I understand you are not receiving emails from "thesamba.com" in your
Yahoo! Mail account. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused
and I am glad to assist you with this.
We've checked our servers and our mail systems appear to be fully
functional. Occasionally temporary network issues may cause a message to
be deferred or fail in rare cases.
If you still do not receive messages from a sender, we recommend that
you contact the sender directly to make sure they are still delivering
messages to your account without getting any error messages. If the
sender indicates that they are still experiencing delivery issues when
trying to send emails to Yahoo! Mail, we ask that the mail administrator
of the internet service or domain contact us directly at the following
link. If the sender uses an ISP or host provider, the tech support of
that service should be able to assist them.
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/postmaster/basics/
Please let us know if you still experience problems so we may assist you
further to resolve your issue.
Your patience during this process is greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Mail Customer Care.
Regards,
Glen

Yeah, I know. The only thing making it special is thesamba.com in quotation marks. I figured the link may be of some use. |
