Has anyone modified the Vanagon sliding door to run on something similar to what is used in modern Minivans?..

Door "automatically" slides open/closes and latches on a push o' the button?.. nice and quiet like?

Thats a mod I'd like if it were feasible...

Thats funny you said that about the door. I hadnt heard that noise in about 10 years and it was music to my ears. Same with the door locks.
