My understanding is that it is not a very common color. Used from 61-64. Beside my 21 window I have only seen one other mouse grey 21 window and heard of a couple others floating around. I've also only seen a few 23 windows in this color as well as a small handfull of deluxes and micro busses. _________________ and take the kids for instance "Are we going in the Volkswagen bus?" and they say "Yay!" and clap their hands and if it's a glorious day you can slide the sunroof back and let a little of the glory in and all of a sudden, it stops looking funny.

Got this bracket from a samba member today. Also received some carburetors and engine lid prop arm and started repair on prop arm

Survived, barely, camping this weekend. Huge thunderstorm last night, had to laugh at my friends in their tents...

| Started off with plans of installing the old speed 944 kit when I couldn't find my lock tight. I got so disgusted of the mess that I spent the whole day cleaning out the bus and re-organizing the tool shed so that I can work. |

I feel your pain. I straightened up the garage and moved my roll-away toolbox and the upright freezer to new locations to create more space. Habits are a b_ t_h! I keep walking to the old toolbox location to get tools and the box isn't there! |

| Swapped out the 32mm venturis in my Berg 42 DCNFs for 30mm venturis to get more velocity on the bottom end. Swapped out one 010 for the one I rebuilt and realized that the dizzy clamp that I was using was out of whack. It didn't have the proper bends so it let the dizzy dance up/down a bit and the weights wouldn't always return at idle. I swapped in another clamp and the problem went away. I bought a VJR4BR18 dizzy off of ebay and it wouldn't return at idle...with that same messed up clamp. The guy I bought the dizzy from said that he didn't disassemble it when he "cleaned it up" so I will give it the Glenn Ring" treatment as soon as I can find my copy of Glenn's "how to" that I printed off the net. I also swapped out the MSD wires for my old tried and true Jacobs tires. Bus is running well, but I think the breather element (mesh screen) is clogged...one more project. |

Thanks, you guys!
Not too far, but about a half-hour or so this evening along a swell dirt road in the twilight. It was magic. |
