Seen these on Ebay GB,the lamps appear to fit the surrounds well.Googled FX 1155 lamps, could only find a greek webshop selling them,no one else.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Bus-Westfalia-T25-Vanagon...ccessories

No photos of surrounds from rear, unsure if they are repros to suit these lamps,

can anyone shed any light on these? Rolling Eyes

I was watching this thread with the hope there would be a solution to finding a replacement for my cracked lens.

Now I don't have to worry about it any more. Look what I discovered this morning as I walked to my van to go to work:

At least the thief was nice enough to leave me all the screws and not cause any damage to my grill.

Congratulations thief, you got a set of German fog lights with a broken lens that you can't replace!

I have to admit, I'm feeling a bit of relief that I don't have to worry about it any more.

PS: PM me if you stole my lights and want to say sorry. I know you'll end up reading this thread while you are hunting for a new lens.

what a D-Bag! I think about that often...if I keep searching for these, will I ultimately just get them stolen. On another note, I am involved with some Chinese plastic production. This would not be a big deal to produce, but we would need some numbers. I have another buddy who would be willing to produce them on a smaller scale. I will email him now.

Are you sure global warming didn't just melt them? Those are some mighty suspicious puddles...

(and for the record - melted or stolen, that really bites, either way)

OK, we can do these with the quickness. My buddy who does molding can hop on this now. More expensive than the Chinese route, but sooo mauch easier. Who wants to ante up one of their prize lenses for the betterment of vanagon kind? You will get a free set of the plastics. That is all the details I have so far. Any preference or requirements for the lens color or type of plastic? I just saw two sets of glass go last week for 60 Euros a set. in Germany. Anyway, this will be simple. We will likely do a single run, and the price is whatever we get it down to with numbers. He will do one pair if he has to.

The big doozie...are those lenses sealed on there, or can they be removed without harming the back reflector?

No picture, but if these are the same as the mirror mount screws in the same link, the tamperproof part is just an allen.

Anyhow I'm curious. I'm trying to picture in my head how the ProjektZwo fog housings mate to the grill without cutting the grill up and I'm just not seeing it. Is no modification needed?

Stolen fog lights. I know they are rare but come on .. Washington is not Oakland so I doubt that someone with no Vanagon brains stole that from you .Olympia is not a huge place SO you should be able to track it down man. Most people who have something stolen have a 40% chance that it was stolen buy some one they know Shocked I seen that on the news on a segment about getting ripped off. We here on tThe samba will keep an eye open.

Hello!!

I have a pair of Projektzwo repro:

there are the ones with clear lens and the ones with kind of blueish lens with reflects inside a little bit yellow.

They fit not very snuggly where the finger tips meets the lower grill.
One side was fitting ok,the other one impossible to put the blinker lens, the bend was not the same curve:it was either way ok at the grill or ok at the lens, not both.
I ended up with the heat gun and carving deeper notches on the lower grill with a drill bit, side way.

The lens is removable, looks like something you can find on the market cheap, but nobody says where. No way: they made these plastic stuffs after the lenses, not the opposite.

I can lend my lenses for your project.

I'd like one set too;-)

ONE WAY OR THE OTHER YOU WILL RESPECT MY VANAGON!

Shocked

Either that, or he was sick of the sneers from the Westy campers.

Best!

There were repros of the Projekt Zwo housing and lens being sold at Tuning Treffen. It seems likely that more will turn up at Vanfest. Hopefully they will end up on the classifieds here as well. I do not know the seller, but Tristar Eric picked up a set of lenses for me.
