Today my son and I Seth cleaned out Kelly (girlfriend) 71 fasty and coated it with POR15. It came out pretty nice. I will put in the carpet kit and possibly seats and panels tomorrow.

Would my rebuilt 1600 for my 63 bug work in this fasty. I know all the top end stuff would need to be swapped out. My question revolves around the fasty being an automatic. I thought somewhere somehow there was a little difference with automatics. Any ideas?

On an automatic engine case, there is an access cut out near the left lower mount stud, to give access torque converter bolts.
ON the back side of a T-3 engine there needs to be a mount for a dip-stick tube.
Also, the oil sender hole needs to be plugged. On a T-3, sender is on the oil cooler.

Sounds like I will just pull hers out and rebuild it, Thanks!

Does anybody know where to get window seals for this 71 fasty? I used the search, midamerica, couple others I found on search, but I didn't find the ones I was looking for. I'm looking for the horizontal scraper for the drivers and passenger. I have the others.
