I have German tilt with canvas that had seen better days still looks ok. Same type and height that Crankey just sold except lighter gray color because it's a civilian version. All bumper covers intact. All buckles usable but starting to crack. Still withstood gale force winds w/o damage just recently. Bought a Vindic canopy and no place to store this one. Taking offers.
I also have a Swedish tilt which is cab height civilian version. Canvas was cut on one side but definitely repairable if you don't mind stiching in that area. Have new gate straps but have to locate them. Not selling the straps separately as some have asked. This type of tilt breaks down into smaller pieces which means you can disassemble and store easily. Possibly even in the lower cargo hold. Will consider selling the headache rack which is designed to work with the tilt. However, the told comes with correct legs to mount without the tilt.
Figuring they each cost me in the neighborhood of $1200 after shipping from Europe. They are in San Francisco now. I did speak to Tom BZ about making replacement canvas. IIRC, the figures we talked about were in the $2500-$3000 range as it would be a custom job. That's just regular canvas and not the rubberized German and Swedish factory versions. Pmail me if interested. I am especially keen on selling the German tilt because the only place I can effectively store it is as installed on one of my Dokas. _________________ BenT |

Bman- sliders...I'm working on them now. the glass is scratched a bit so I'm going to try polishing it with Flitz and then I'm gonna tint the sliding pain myself, the tint shop couldn't get it past the felt, so I'm gonna do it and show them how it's done. heh, I hope ! the tint actually hides some of the scratching. |

Thought I'd post these photos from 71MYSTABOO (Official Syncro Doka thresd) to give a side by side comparrison of the Civilian Grey tilts and my Army issue tilt:
I like the forward gate protecting the rear window here. Notice that the civilian tilt has more of a flat top as opposed to the slightly sloped Army issue. I'm not sure if this is a German or Swedish tilt, but I suspect Swedish. Any thoughts?
I also like the extended frame for a lumber or pole rack (perfect for my teepee poles). _________________ ~Bryan

Swedish- the rubber bungee cords are a giveaway.
German tilts were offered in a cab height or high version like yours and mine. |

Yes, They require some pretty ugly permanently mounted hardware around all of the windows for it to attach to. |

Kit installed.
At each of the points where there is a white strap the attachment cleat must be mounted to the body, they look similar to the loops on the gates but wider. You can see that there are 4 around each headlight, 5 for the windshield, 4 for the door, back window and rear window. It looks like you have the black out flaps for the mil spec tailgate as well which only works on gates with the cutouts in them.

Careful what you ask for, it might have been the much less interesting solid drab green.
