Talk is just that.....talk. A person has to Walk the Talk in order to be believed. No follow up means a FAILURE happened.
EDIT: A Turbo with a single throat carb is NOT new.
Back in the late 1970's had a 1600cc with a single throat Carb to a Turbo. Believe it was a Zenith...still have it in my back room in a box with the exhaust etc.....old technology as I've a Weber DCOE 40 to a Rajay B25 1776cc today and this is somewhat old technology also....go figure. |

for the heck of it i will post here again. it is sort of nostalgic coming here. I'm still a fan of doing stuff on the cheap. nowadays so many in the vw community is spending a ton of money to make their car go fast, which is nice if u got money to burn . |

I'm building a stock single port right now, and considering going this route and then selling it. Is there a market for 140HP turbo engine for 3K or so? |

I tried the auxiliary vent on a 34 Pict-3 carb but never had any success getting it to run on my turbo setup.
I can't remember exactly but it didn't run worth a crap. I had better success with extending the fuel bowl vent and leaving everything else just about stock except for oringing the throttle shsft.
About the time I had it figured out I had all the parts collected for Fuel Injection and never looked back. _________________

thank you for replying.
it is good to get feedback like yours, and it might be telling of why this particular thread went dead silent. perhaps FI came to France as well =?
so yes, fuel injection is the way to go. I had collected all the parts but a skinny wallet forced me to sell it all off, so now i am back to square one .
What is the baseline price on a fuel injection setup for turbo =? I guess one could run a single injector and throttlebody ? anyways, i guess that is something to discuss in another thread. |

I spent 2 years gathering parts....some new some used.
I think the end cost was about $1350.00 For the MS-1 Fuel Injection system and I allocated $250.00 of that for misc clamps, bolts, nuts and other hardware.
Engine was $1300.00 for 1679cc's.
Turbo was about $400.00 building it myself.
WI was homemade at $200.00.
All this was done in 2013.
It's been upgraded many times and now puts out 187 whp with the same engine. _________________
