Thought I would share some pics of the 1986 Syncro Sunroof I just finished restoring. My goal, the ultimate minivan. I also updated the interior to a 1991 Carat and changed the dash and interior from brown to black. The van has factory rubber mats front to rear. Other accessories include Euro h4's, Go Westy bumpers, Euro luggage bars, black sliders and vented rear windows.

Thanks Phishman. I am really happy with the outcome. I originally bought the van for parts but fell in love with the sunroof. _________________ 1987 Syncro

I can't remember for sure but I can find out for you. I think it was 20% for rears and 35% for fronts. _________________ 1987 Syncro

Gentlemen:
I'm new to this forum and in the market for a syncro camper. I hope to gain a better understanding of the 4WD options originally offered by the factory and now via aftermarket.
While viewing the adds, it is apparent not all syncros were created equal. Some offer decouplers, others front and/ or rear lockers, some decouplers are viscous, others not....solid shafts, etc., etc., etc..
Is there a source for this info? Or can it be explained painlessly by any of you gents?
Thanks in advance,
Bruce |

Bruce, This is a good start as is the search on this forum. Be careful though, you may lose a few days reading all the info. _________________ 1987 Syncro

Similar to the bars that came in split windows to protect the glass from suitcases. _________________ 1987 Syncro
