In case any of you are interested, I've added a place on the Drive Nacho Drive website (left side of the screen) where you can subscribe to blog updates through email. This way you'll be the first to know when Nacho breaks down and I start crying for help. Er, I mean Sheena starts crying for help. Yeah, that's the ticket...

Go here to subscribe, enter your email in the form and click "subscribe": www.drivenachodrive.com

Thanks,

Brad

It's been a while, so thought I'd check in. We've arrived in Costa Rica and are getting some work done on Nacho. While doing so I'm doing a bit of blog catch up. We've been updating about once or twice per week (trying to improve!) Here's the latest installment, in case you're interested:

Wow ! I just read this thread and most of the blog. Amazing trip , I will follow it from now on.
Nice to hear your experiences across Mexico where good and you felt safe. We drove our Vanagon from Cancun to Mexico City stopping at campsites along the way and this with our 2 and 4 year olds and never felt unsafe.
We also had a plan to drive only during the day , all those police and military checkpoints also helped to feel safe.
We have also done the Baja trip all the way to La Paz a few times and loved it every time.

Be safe and keep up the good blogging.

Joe, have fun at the Syncro event! How's your quest for a pop top mold going? Were you able to find the Joker top anywhere, or have you decided to do the traditional pop top?

Glad you're all enjoying the blog. Thanks for reading!

Blue Bay Bus Ha, Brad, decided to go with a sunroof, then some day if I go with a high top I'll will have a hole in the top that I can close off if I want to! For now the sun roof is the cheapest way to go! At least I can cook standing up. Laughing

Our new blog entry talks about how to deal with the police in Mexico and Central America. Lots of people end up paying bribes to get out of sticky situations; this talks about how to bumble through without paying any bribes. Enjoy!
