Here is some really important information about the aftermarket fuel pump rebuild kit:

Here is a link to the entire thread - worth reading:

There is an important special tool you will need to do a proper rebuild - you can easily fabricate this tool yourself. Thanks to DarrylD - here is great thread about the subject:

BTW, great decision to do a rebuild and keep the original German pump - they are far superior, will last for years and the new aftermarket units are fugly, IMO. I have never used an aftermarket one-piece unit, buy I have also heard they are crap and will wear out pretty quickly.

Thanks guys, Eventually figured it out. I called WW first they told me they did not have a kit for my style Pierbergs. I have a couple pumps off 40 horse motors from swap meets. Here is what they look like.

Thank you also for the links, I had read them in my search for the rebuild kit. I called Ed Fall at Vintage Werks he told me the kit for the 1300/1500 pump would work just dont need the top diaphram. He cuts his own because the new material isnt what it used to be. So I called WW back and ordered the kit. Thanks again. Getting closer to a running motor.
