so i have a 73 high roof camper (conversion)
the conversion was done in germany (not applicable) the fridge is an electrolux ac/dc/propane. i've never used it and don't think it's worked for several years. i plugged it in (ac) and took it off the wall. (so i could look behind it) felt around and noticed that the pipes were getting hot(normal). yet no cooling of the fridge at all. It has an amonia mixture cooling system (not freon) how the F do i get this M Fer to work right. p.s i dont want to get a new fridge and i don't want to replace to freon.
thanks

Ammonia systems have no moving parts. You heat one end, the other end gets cold. But, the ammonia will gel and settle on the lowest point if it sits. An old trick with a full size fridge is to turn it over and let it sit for a week. But this is hard to do with a bus:)
About the only thing you can do is plug it into 110v and leave it on. It took my 77 Westy 3 days to start working right. Now it will make ice cubes in 6 hours.
The more you use it, the better it works.
