|
|
| hello all, very nice site. I just aquired a berry mini t 2 and I have a ton of questions. First off, a little about the car, it sits on a 62 shortened chassis and had a 1300 in it, now its going to have a 1600 sp in it, and right now is in 100 pieces. First question, is there any tops anywhere to be found? If not who can make them? |

No one makes an 'off the peg' top but any upholstry shop or boatyard would be able to make one for you. Do an internet search for some photos for an idea of the style you want.
It'd be nice if toy posted some photos of it.

| So I've got the old cancer pans out and the new ones waiting to go in. Question is, where do I cut them to shrink them down and how much do I take out? Thanks in advance |

Here is a decent thread on pan shortening:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=134758&highlight=shorten+pan
If you run your mouse curser over "Forums" above, the drop down box has a search function so you can search all the threads for specific things or, you can narrow down the search field to just a specific forum topic. It is very handy to self educate with it.

| The Berry Mini-T had the pedal cluster, shifter and parking brake relocated on the tunnel. Normal pan shortening instructions won't help you. If the tunnel is unrusted you can just use the floor pieces you remove as patterns for the floor piece you are going to replace. If the tunnel needs repairs, you need to get hold of the shortening instructions for a Mini-T. |

| If you go on Dune Buggy Archives, into the Berry Mini-T Registry, there's someone who has the build instructions for a Mini-T clone on CD. |

It sounds like the tunnel is fine, it is the two pan halves he is asking about on how to cut, and what length to take out. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

Then he should just use the pieces he removes as the pattern for the pieces he replaces. |
