70 vw beetle heads, need some opinions

it looks like the heads were being hit by the pistons, can anyone chime in with some advice.

Are the pistons coming out past the top of the cylinders?

The reason the cylinder heads and pistons have the combustion' Pattern'
is :The cylinders to case from barrel to barrel is uneven and, Also your rings
are Kaput and/or pistons.

To really find out the problem you will need to
Check depth on ALL 4 spigots on the heads
cylinders to case.

Oily and running rich in your pictures Idea
