The 2nd Southeastern Baywindow Rally will be held at Nova Family Campground in Port Orange Florida. This is just one of the many events to participate in on No Dough Weekend. Free admission and a free tee shirt for every Baywindow that attends. The event is April 5th 2014 so ya'll have plenty of time to plan. I'll be talking to some of the guys that attended SBR1 to make SBR2 even better.

SBR1 was great. I'll definitely be there. _________________ Danny

Don't forget, the campground also has "florida igloo's", which are old military tents on wooden floors with a window A/C unit. They are like $50 a night, but perfect if you end up wanting a cooler place to sleep than your bus.
The campground in general is nice, you never see the sun because there are so many tree's. It's going to be a very relaxing and fun weekend! _________________ "In any racing engine, the nearer you are to it disintegrating, the better it's performance will be"

The heads of the BPA had a meeting this evening, while it lacked the candle light that most romantic dinners have Manny did eat all my vegetables... I didn't even get a goodnight kiss...
But anyway, we round-tabled a plan to get down to NDBS and the SBR2 for 2014. I have the vacation time this year, and no longer have to worry about being the "new guy" at the office afraid to burn time.
It's a bit early to make my reservations, but I will be taking a train both ways, with the Bay. Planning to leave NY and take a train on 4/2 arriving in Floridau 4/3 probably going to be a weds-weds adventure. _________________ Mike

You guys did a great job on the first one. Good group of folks there, of course
Looking forward to the next one.
The campground mentioned was great. Filled with VWs and good company.
Thanks for starting this thread. Y'all that didn't make it last year, come on down, it's a good time. _________________ Godspeed

This sounds like an idea I might be into...
Any "group discounts" available for the Auto-train Mike ?
Not worried about a place to stay myself...I'd just crash in my bus.
I'd do the drive both ways if I had that sorta time, but I'd prolly have to leave earlier then the following Wednesday. _________________ Drive your VW... That's what it was made for.

I doubt there is a "group" discount, because there is such a demand.
Just a fair warning, train tickets both ways for you and your bus will cost about $700.
Depends how you wanna look at it... Sounds like a lot, but after you consider fuel, rest stops, food, and paying yourself (whatever your time is worth) to drive down it's not bad... Plus, April airfare is always high so flying down without your bus isn't much cheaper and the bus serves as home for the few days.
The train is great,$$$ but great.
I've done the drive, but it's two days in the seat... It's tiring and by the time you get to Fl. you just wanna sleep.
Plus, the drive down is good if you're going for a bit longer... It sucks to have 4 days of driving for only 3 days of fun down there. The train is relaxing and quite fun actually. _________________ Mike
